John E. Bachman
Mr. Bachman has served as a director since November 2019. Mr. Bachman has been an outside director for various public companies since his retirement in 2015. From 1978 to 2015, Mr. Bachman was a certified public accountant at the accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, most recently as a partner. Mr. Bachman previously served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee of The Children’s Place, a children’s clothing store. He also previously has served as a director of Recharge Acquisition Corp and WEX, Inc. Mr. Bachman’s extensive background in auditing, as well as his business strategy and oversight experience serving in the leadership of one of the world’s largest accounting firms led to the conclusion that he should serve as a director of Grocery Outlet.
